Growing up in a family involved with horses, I was riding as soon as I could walk. Being a member of Burpengary Pony Club gave me a broad experience in many disciplines, having a super all-round pony made it possible to rise through the levels of pony club, the highlight being able to represent the pony club at state and national level in dressage, show-jumping and eventing. With the experience gained at pony club and having owned some amazing horses, I have had many wins and placings in eventing and dressage.
I’m a dedicated and ambitious rider stepping into the Dressage scene, making the gradual climb up the levels and continuing to work hard to achieve my goals of competing FEI this year and working towards competing at Grand Prix level in the future on Leadburn Carrington who is an 16.3hh, 11yo Warmblood Gelding bred by Amy Zeller at Leadburn Lodge. Carro is by Carbine out of an FEI mare by Rocadero. I channel Carro’s playful and mischievous personality into a horse that is expressive and athletic, while still remaining an air of exuberance and fun in his performances, this has lead to some exciting titles along the way including: QLD Futurity Champion, NDHD and RASDEG Medium Champion, PCAQ State Champion and other numerous wins and placings.
I’m 17 and live in Brisbane where I am currently studying secondary Biology Teaching at QUT. I have been riding since I was 5 years old with my first shetland pony called Star. I have been having fortnightly show jumping lessons with my current coach Guy Creighton since I was 7. You can always keep up to date with what I am doing at brittsblingyblog.com!
When I was 12 and was forced to move on from my all-rounder Quarter Horse due to lameness issue, it was then that I decided I wanted to specialise in Show Jumping. I have, however, ridden every discipline possible from camp drafting, sporting and eventing (excluding vaulting as I find I sometimes do that too much…By accident!).
Since then I have ridden some awesome speed star junior horses that have given me so many opportunities over the years, such as representing Australia in 2012 in a Junior Show Jumping Team in South Africa, one I will never forget!
Now I am currently focusing my energy on my beautiful WBxTB 10yr old mare, She’s a Diva. A horse which I believe will take me a long way in Show Jumping. The best part is we are learning and moving up the grades together. Some short term goals are to get a clear round at the Sydney Royal Young Rider competition (1.3m-1.45m), it has always been a dream, to compete in the Young Riders at Sydney Royal so I am very grateful, not only to have been accepted but to have such an amazing family that will support me along the way. We have currently owned Diva for over a year now and we are constantly achieving our goals and teaching each other as we move up through the grades. I hope in the near future that Diva and I will continue to compete in Grand Prix’s with the dream of world cup in our future.
I love all the Horses-Store products! I always train in their eye-catching, comfortable and stylish outfits. One of my favourite Horses-Store products would have to be the Equi-Linn Equestrian Lingerie. For starters, it’s equestrian lingerie, it is designed specifically to keep everything still while you ride and just makes life so much more comfortable!
My favourite outfit I wore at the 2015 George Morris clinic was the: Brown Boulder Breeches with the Light Blue Polo Shirt St. John, IM Equestrian with the IM Equestrian white w/Light Blue stripes hair bun.
At the 2015 David Goodwin clinic I wore the RHA Pink Breeches with the gorgeous matching RHA Polo Shirt!
Both of these outfits look gorgeous with the IM Equestrian Bling belts and the Harry’s Horse Bling Spur Straps.
All of my horses are groomed with the Magic Brushes, I personally always keep these brushes in my wash bay as it is the trick to making the socks even whiter! I also regularly compete in my Competition Pink Champ Shirt!

Hi Ivanka 🙂
So I found some nice photos of my ponies over the last 2 weekends! Some nice photos of my gorgeous new bling Jacket which I have received many compliments for! I also love my champ shirt it looks so gorgeous and stylish and it is super stretchy and comfortable! My new bling spur straps just top off my outfit with that extra stylish sparkle! Also loving my Equi-Linn underwear, it is super comfortable and not noticeable through my whites! The magic brushes have also been working their magic in getting out the dreaded malting coats which have started early this year!!! Thank you
Hi my name is Courtney Tincknell, I am 17 years of age as of February the 26th, 2015. I have been a horse lover since I was born, some would say it is bred in me. I would either be sitting on a horse or mucking around with them.
By the age of five I had competed in my first showjumping competition. However I am not just a show jumper, I also compete in Sporting, Campdrafting, Rodeoing and the occasional hack class. When I get the question “What sport do I do?”, most will jump to the conclusion of just Equestrian, however I presently play Touch Football, Rugby League and Volleyball. You could classify myself as a very active athletic person.
Over my years or showjumping I have accomplished quite a lot. At age eight I competed at my first state showjumping which was held in Caboolture were I received Champion 12 years and under.Since the age of eight I have won two or more state titles whether it be in Showjumping, Equitation or Sporting every year. In 2012 I received National Champion in one section and National Reserve Champion in Interschool Showjumping.
Another big highlight was in 2014 December where I went over to China to represent Australia and Queensland in Sporting. However just to add Australia did kick some butt and win everything. However I did accomplish my goal that I set for last year which was to win the High Point Junior Rider at Brisbane Royal in 2014, which I did.
Our first dressage rider:
Tegan is an up and coming Dressage rider based in QLD. Since making the transition to dressage she has made the gradual climb up the levels and continues to work hard to achieve her goals. Tegan and her horse Leadburn Carrington plan on competing FEI this year.
